Do you ever feel like just for one moment you need someone to see you are here? this is a oft visited theme with me, this no one responding to me anywhere online. Am I just needy? Am I an attention whore? Most of the time I don't wanna be bothered and then other times I feel so alone and desolate I just want to ram chopsticks up my nostrils.

Sometime I suppose so. But in a different kinda way probably. I just feel sooo alone sometime. Might have something to do with me attachment 'issues'. There will be people around me that I know and trust, that I can supposedly connect to but sometime this connection is just switched off.
You are NOT an attention whore. Well, not by my definition anyway. As to wether you're needy is something only you can decide for yourself.
I sort of learned for me that the less I 'want' the less I have a need to want more. But then it usually hits a point when I don't have enough and we are back to schratch
Hope this make sense.

I've felt similarly; with the exception of ramming chopsticks up my nostrils, that is.

I have attachment issues too. Anyone I allow to get emotionally close too, including family members, I become attached to the point of dependence, and if I feel emotionally damaged by that dependence, it scars me deeply and I become bitter and resentful.

I'm a klutz ... I can ram chopsticks up my nostrils just because I'm trying to eat Kung Pao Shrimp and watch Jeopardy at the same time.

I guess there may be great variation in the damage potential depending upon the composition of the chopsticks being shoved into ones nostrils. Personally, I'm partial to the wooden ones. I might be able to snap them off in midthrust should I have a sudden change of heart

I live with my mom and live close to other family members. I don't have a huge social circle, but I have enough surface interaction to satisfy me. Therefore, I do not feel like the last person on earth. However, I have been in that mental place before. In fact, I was there 3 or 4 months ago. It was like I was suffocating because all of the social connections I had at that time suddenly disappeared and I was desperate to connect with anyone on some kind of meaningful basis. I was also suicidal pretty much all the time because my life seemed so empty and devoid of meaning. Things got better when I formed some new relationships and got a job. Posting here also helps. By the way, I enjoy your posts.
