Are they one and the same? I am constantly being diagnosed as depressed, but I don't feel depressed. I don't necessarily feel happy, but I don't feel any different on antidepressants either. I can recognize feeling overwhelmed. Sometimes I feel emotionally distant from the world, like viewing the scurry inside an ant farm. I prefer feeling this way to riding emotional roller coasters, which happens sometimes too.
Opinions? Can't make heads or tails of it.

Antidepressants are only really good for can't get out of bed style getting you out of a massive rut depression. In milder cases they haven't proven that effective. If you're tired all the time it could be a different medical problem. That or you're somewhere else on the mental illness spectrum.
What other medications have you tried? Mood stabilizers, atypical antipsychotics, maybe a blunt stimulant can help coping with the world, it's really hard to tell what is appropriate though.
