I am rather pissed off about last night....explained in another thread but basically went to watch season premire of game of thrones with my dad who is staying with a sort of family friend(not sure I'd see this individual that way after this). Anyways my dad asked if it was ok for me and my brother to come over to watch it and he was planning to cook dinner and we were going to you know watch it, chill out for a while and then head home before it got too late. But the jerk comes home yells about 'well you guys are here early...bla bla bla, that's it you have two hours than leave and its the last time so enjoy it. We showed up about an hour before the show started and planned to leave soon after...to me that does not seem unreasonable when it was said that it was ok for us to do that.

I mean how was my dad supposed to rationalize that we were only allowed to be there from the start of the show and then leave right after, when the person he's staying with said it was ok if we come over for game of thrones....he assumed that meant watch the show and have dinner. But because the person he's staying with decided to be a real a**hole we didn't even have dinner(he was going to make chicken, rice and potatoes I was looking forward to this) but sort of lost the motivation after that, I lost my appetite anyways.

Uhh I just don't understand it....my dad pays rent there, I mean I get for a while me and my brother went over there a little too often for a while but we respected it when we were told this and cut down on visiting dad there....and last night was like the first time we had been there in like a couple months for any longer than two minutes just to regroup and plan where to go. And this is supposed to be a family friend...that has more or less known me and my brother since we were little kids seems like he's got a real problem with us now though.

I shouldn't get too upset over this, people suck.......and that's life. But who the hell tells their room-mate 'yeah you can have your kids over to watch the premier of game of thrones' and then comes and throws a fit when they show up and we are there getting ready to watch game of thrones.

That guy was really a A-hole and out of line. Frankly if your Dad puts up with that behavior, there is a problem there too. Your Dad should dump that housemate.

Well that was very rude. He clearly doesn't like you being there. Does your Dad get along with him otherwise, or is he just a total jerk?

Well trouble is its not my dads house, its the other persons house....my dad has just been paying rent to stay there. My dad is actually planning on leaving for California in a few days because he's done living there. I mean he pays rent, cleans the place all the time, did repairs, fixed the paint job, cooks and then can't even have his kids over for dinner and a show. He's been having issues with being there for a while now but he has nowhere else to go in Colorado right now and doesn't have his job out here anymore, can't go out to Minnesota where he is from due to problems with family there but two of my aunts who he gets along well with live in California so he's going to go stay with them.

I really don't blame him, sure it will suck not having him living as close and not being able to get together as much...but he can't stay living in those conditions on account of me and my brother missing him if he goes. Besides since I have SSI now I am sure I could afford the greyhound to go visit.

Well we all got along fine....and gradually this individual has decided he doesn't like us/has a problem with us or so it seems. Maybe he never liked having any of us around in the first place I don't really know. My cousin once told me the guy had a dark side, I didn't really believe her because he seemed like a pretty decent human being who cared about the well being of people in his life well it turns out she was right.

Well, just as well your Dad is moving then. Too bad he'll be going so far from you though.

Sounds like he is a jealous control freak.What a jerk.

Yeah it does kind of suck, but yeah he can't do the work he was doing anymore here and might be able to improve his situation there, so that would probably be good might be able to figure out some sort of self employment...doesn't really do well with not being in charge of his work and can be too much of a perfectionist.

It can be hard to get satisfying work especially if you care about what you're doing.
