School's coming up again

It's the end of June, I need to pay off a $276 debt to go back to school this semester, I have no idea what I'm going to be able to take, or if I'll even be able to go back. I'm really not looking forward to college again this year, especially with how bad last semester turned out for me. I only took one class, and even that was to much for me, and it felt soul crushing that I couldn't even pass basic English. My ride situation is still in limbo, and I'm probably gonna be stuck on the f*****g bus again. I tried to make friends, but I had nothing in common with any of my classmates. Last year at club rush I remember seeing a booth for a gamer club, so I will be excited if that got kicked off. I was able to get a job over the summer so I do have some extra income. All in all though I don't see this school year getting any better, it's probably gonna end up like every other school year: I take the classes I want, only to learn I can't take the classes I want. I try to actually meet and connect with a nice gal only to learn she doesn't share any connection back. I'm just gonna end up stuck again, nowhere to go, no friends to see, just another endless depressing 5 months in the abyssal void that is American education trying to kill some time till i can find a way to go to a better college. Like I say though, I just wish it didn't take so damn long.

I hope it gets better for you, and I do have a couple of suggestions on two of the issues you raised. For grades, just go basic memorization. You can memorize something by repeating it 16 times. Not all in a row or something back to back, but read the test questions or your notes, out loud to yourself 16 times. Every night. Sucks, but it works.

On the girl thing, I'd like to throw an idea out there to you, and if you want to try it then I hope it works, and if not then I'm sorry I didn't have a better one. But you got an Italian user name. Are you Italian, or at least dark? I'm asking because I'm half Italian and I wanted to suggest something that may seem shallow and totally not you, but it could work. If you are Italian, or at least dark, then go for the look. You know what I mean. Start getting a tan and working out and get a haircut and spend some time on it and all that. Dress for success. If you can get even a good chuck of a partial look going for you then you really don't have to say much to the girls. Just smile and ask a few questions about them and all. It's a foot in the door to get to situations where you can sit back comfortably and observe and learn what the particular peer groups social interaction with each other is, because it's different in lots of groups.

My youngest son has the look and he's 19. Last fall when he decided to stop devoting all his free time to video games and spend some on himself then he got a girlfriend. He has always been one of those guys but he had to just stop playing video games and work a little bit on himself and maybe his game too and then give it a try and bam, he got a girlfriend first time he tried.

Well I'm not Italian, the user name is just one of my favorite presidents. I'm a pretty white, freckled, ginger haired Irish-American. I live in coastal California, and it's summer right now, so I am getting some form of a tan. My skin isn't completely devoid of color (probably cause I also have some distant native American heritage), and my hair isn't bright red, the best way most girls described my hair color was a "dirty-red head." Believe me though, I have a lot of respect for a culture that gave us The Godfather, and most Italian clothing is some of the best made in the world.
