I haven't seen Wozeree in a while, either.

I used to "speak" to her at times. Maybe I could PM her--or maybe you could even PM her. Maybe she'll answer--maybe she just doesn't want to post on the Forum for some reason.

I also miss a lot older members as well. WP used to be such a fast paced place to be with all the older, familiar members who made me feel safe.

I'm sorry you are going through such a tough time. I hope that something really good happens for you and that you will hear from some old friends in the near future. Sounds like lots is going on for you just now so please take care, stay in touch and get the rest you need. Do you have someone to talk to in your personal life, a friend who understands and "gets" you? If not, you still have friends here, though newer ones than Tallyman and co, we may be poor substitutes but we hear you and can be here for you.

Yep, it is not the same place. I would almost say, it has had it's day.

I disagree, I came back after years of absence, and I've found a great community in the random section and off the wall - in fact better than ever! Yes, a few oldies are gone, but some new ones have come as well.

I am sorry though, jenisautistic, that recent happenings regarding the departure of mods have taken such a toll on you. Hope you feel better soon.

People come on forums to talk about certain subjects and maybe to get to meet some new people.

But once they find a few people they are comfortable talking with they tend to kind of stick with that group and not engage with new people much.

If there is a high turn-over of people, its not the end of the world, you just have to engage with new people again. It may be a good thing in disguise.
