I accidentally spilled apple juice in my laptop. It made the keyboard sticky and also messed up some of the keys (like pressing the p key also causes the flashing thing to move to the left of the p just typed). I thought that if I completely saturated the keyboard in water (to dilute the apple juice) and then turn the laptop upside down and let it sit overnight so it could dry, that would fix the problem.

Turns out, I screwed up the motherboard.

Hopefully, if it's like my Alienware, it's only the keyboard that's screwed up and not the motherboard itself. Have you thought of plugging in a USB keyboard? That's what I had to do back when I used that machine.

We all do dumb stuff.. just learn from it and move on. No sense beating yourself up over spilled milk. It's an inconvenience but you can buy a new one.
