My mum's just come back from the vet, as she was concerned with our dog because we were worried about the lumps in her. Turns out she's got a tumor, and the vet reckons shes got about a few weeks to live. She'll either be in extreme pain until she naturally dies, or we'll have to put her down. This decision is undecided.

I'm not crying, I'm strong but I'm hurt.

She's 10 now, and she's been part of the family.

Look at her in the picture. She's so adorable, yet she'll be gone soon. :(

I'm just letting you know, as this is the haven, and you post here if your sad.

I am sorry about you dog. :( My dog had just died a few months ago from tumors+kidney disease.
Is she in any pain now?

Oh no...that's so sad...She such a nice dog.......
That must be a very difficult decision to make....OMG...I hope I would be spared of making such decisions with my cats...
I hope you get all the support you need to go through this...You sound like you're dealing with it OK so that's good..

Sorry to hear about your dog.

My mom had a cat die of cancer once. We didn't want to put her down, but we could tell she was really suffering in her last days. My mom said she never wanted to see a cat suffer like that again, so ended up having another cat that had cancer put down.

Me too. I'm afraid to get pets, because they don't last forever.

I'm sorry Alternative. That's such a hard thing to decide, and she looks so sweet.

You're dealing with it better than I will. I know I'll be in tears when my dog passes away in a few years. She has helped me through so many things it's not even worth trying to type it all up on this message board. Be strong, and reflect back upon the great memories you had together. I am truly sorry for what you have to go through now.

Thanks for all the sympathy.

My mum's come to a decision now.

Before we go away on holiday in 3 weeks, we're going to put her down. My mum says she has no other choice.

The picture I posted, my mum's going to bloat up and have a big picture in a frame of it in our living room.
