Someone please help me, I want to end my own life. All I want is a girlfriend and I've never had one. I can't stand feeling like this anymore. I'm feeling very sick and I want to end it all. I am going to go home to grab my medication and curl up and die. Someone please help me.

I think you should rethink this decision and bear in mind that this feeling is not going to last forever... ending your life not only ends the bad things, but also any possibility of experiencing the good things that may well come your way. You are not giving life a chance. Is there anyone in your life currently that you can try and speak to rather than doing something you cannot change?

Don't do it. Call a crisis line, right now. Talk to the person on the other end of the line. Get some help and choose life.

I really hope this person has not taken that choice to end it. I have to go to bed now so cannot stay around to help.

Negativity is not the way to end things. If you want to die, wait until everything is positive, and then make your decision. Choosing to end things in despair is neither noble nor will it give you the release that you desire.

I have also argued once that, assuming their is a Heaven and an afterlife, you'll most likely realize what a waste it was doing it, because you could have done so much more and you left so much behind, plus you have hurt many people by doing this one act.

So yeah, please stay. It's better to do so.

More than that, you'll only hurt the wrong people - those who care.

Mate it doesn't matter if you haven't had a girlfriend, most of us on here haven't

There are moments when you feel like unable to survive, however, please try to hang on to life by talking to someone or calling a hotline and the moment of intense pain and dispair will pass by and you will be able to calm down. Even though life may feel like a disaster and that only dispair seems to be there, there are good things in life...please remember the good things in life...Try to focus on what you like to do...what calms you down...what makes you feel better...Could you please list them now? Especially for social life or love life it takes time to get mature enough to start the right relationship with the right person...whether you have Aspergers or not...Even if you have had a hard time finding a girlfriend, it is a stage you are passing and there is no guarrenty that it will stay that way...Please try to list the things that you would like to see happening. What would you like to do in the future? What are your dreams? What kind of relationship do you want? What kind of girlfriend do you want? Thinking of these things may help you sort out the stances you need to take in order to establish a fulfilling emotional life...

Never having had a girlfriend does not mean that you never will have one.

Is it any old girl you want or someone specific?
Any old girl should not be the "be all and end all" for you and if you go, that special someone's life will be the poorer for it.
Even if you do not know each other yet, if you can't stay for yourself, please at least stay for her sake.

If you are asking for help, you'd rather receive help than to die and this shows you still have a little faith in life.
However tiny that piece of faith may be, it can grow, maybe as far as realising that there must be someone in this life for you, but not if you're not here to find out.

Everyone who has posted here is obviously concerned about you so if you read this please post to let us know how you're doing!

Please don't do it. I was in pretty much an identical situation (apart from that I'm a girl and was looking for a boyfriend). I just wanted someone to love me - no-one wanted me and I felt like a reject.

The only thing that got me through it was medication (maybe you should look at changing or increasing your meds? I know this isn't the 'answer' but it may help prop you up emotionally untill you are no longer feeling suicidal) - and hope that I would eventually find someone.

5 years on, I am 26 and have finally found a boyfriend who likes me for who I am and who is completely cool about my AS - in fact he likes it in a way because I don't lie or play mind games and he thinks my eccentricities are cool.

So hold on...I thought it would NEVER happen for me and it did - you just need to find a way throught these dark periods and try to remember that there is always hope.

I have been feeling just like you lately, aspie2u, VERY depressed this past weekend (and still in it). I WANT to die, but I still know that trying to accomplish my death is NOT the answer. The lack-of-relationship thing is at the center of my depression, and the future doesn't look great for me in that -- but who really knows? I never thought I'd get married, but I did, even though it didn't work out in the end. The point is I know I'm at the very lowest point of a long, wide cycle, so that it only gets better from here, even if I have to wait a while.

If you don't want to feel like this anymore, than do something short of suicide to make yourself feel different. Lack of caffeine often makes me feel suicidal, while life becomes at least basically bareable after a full cup of coffee. I once had a week of worst depression that ended up being simply a complete lack of caffeine. Also, perhaps your bloodsugar is low -- that can equally make one physically drag around. There are so many things you can, and should try before you think about suicide, which is basically telling the cruel world it wins, and that it has defeated you.

I want to give up, desperately, but I'm not going to. I'm going to be a stubborn jackass when it comes to that. Not giving up means I'm winning against my struggles. Don't give up either! :o

I don't know if this helps but, I use to feel the same way. Thinking if only I could find that one special person. Then after some time and observations, I realized I was wasting a lot of energy in the wrong area. People you know will disappoint you at some time or another. Not only that, not all days of realtionships go as intended. I know, I've been told those same "fairy tales" everyone else has. And the problem with fairy tales is that in the world you and I must live, they're un-true.

What I did was get two or more hobbies, get more involved in work, and don't put all your happiness into things people can ruin. Other words, be self-reliant, get up and fight. I'm betting you got a lot to live for, in fact, take a break from you problems. Put this on hold, and come back later and see if you still feel the same way. I think you'll find your answer. J.C.

I have felt like that too, but if I just wait it out I do feel better. If I had ended my life 10 years ago, I would have missed so many good things that have happened to me, that I never would have thought could have occurred. Give your life another chance, please!
