why do i obsess over the same thing

I think about random people throughout the day, weather or not we are as close as i think, i obsess over being loved, i want everyone to love me, i want affection etc. i want close friends. i don't bother peopple i think about or stalk them, i just think about them a lot. it doesn't interfere with day to day activites, but i still do it and have since i was a kid. is this normal for AS? Am i crazy. sometimes i think i am the most selfish person, because even though i care for people i worry more about what they think of me. i am a good friend because i want to be liked and i feel awful

I think your desire to be liked is virtually universal in our human species.
