My grandpa is in the hospital, my dad is depressed as hell, my mom keeps fighting with him over stupid things. There is nothing I can do so, I am just going to leave for Maine on the first of July. I was going there for a month or so anyway, but now, I know I won't come back. After that month, I will go to Oklahoma then, New Mexico, California, maybe Oregon and possibly all the way to Alaska. I have my truck, my income and some essentials.

K4aqo;

Will you tell your parents anything about leaving? Is there anyone you will say goodbye to in FL?

I might say "see you later" to a few people. As for my parents, they should know by now that I am leaving when I get my first solid chance.

All these places you plan to go to, you have some relatives, friends to see there? Or just interesting reasons to make that the plan? You did say you have a source of income,just make sure you know the ATM rules with your bank.

Since its a planned adventure, I wouldn't really say you are "running off." That sounds too much like running away, and while you are leaving people behind, I thinks its more launching yourself into the world. Well maybe thats too "poetic."

If you're going to leave you might want to tell them, it'll weigh on your conscious so hard you'll turn around before you hit new york. What's in all those places anyway?

My sister and brother-in-law are in Maine, my cousins are in Oklahoma, everywhere else are just places I want to go.

That sounds like a fun adventure. Make sure you have a decent traffic app on your phone. Also watch out for speed limits, whenever you have an out of state plate on your car you are more of a target for cops, as that means you are less likely to fight a traffic citation. Anyway, have a blast.
Good luck and stay safe!

I don't have a smart phone. Thanks for the good luck wishes, though :D
