I have test anxiety whenever I'm about to take an exam...I feel so pressured to do well on tests...I think I've had test anxiety since I was in junior high... Why can't I just let it go and be cool about it and do the best I can...after all, none of the tests, whether I did well on it or poor on it had much impact on my real life...except for a few... Oh well, I admit that doing my best is important...because I guess grades can affect some aspects in life...but...I think it's no good to be overly concerned with it.

I think sometimes I get overly concerned with grades because I consider it as an important part of who I am. But actually it's not. I should be OK even with poor test results...

My reaction would be either to get overly concerned with the test which leads to stress/hard work and better results, or not studying at all which leads to bad results and guilt, feelings of emptiness and unworthiness and stress...
I think I should first accept my anxious self and then try to create a balance...

Anyway, I'd rather write papers than take exams...can't wait to graduate and be done with tests...

This is probably very little consolation, but everyone gets anxious about exams, anyone that says it doesn't bother them are lying.

I hate exams, but I hate essays etc even more.

yeah, I guess you're right...
I never get good results for my papers...so in that aspect I'm sort of frustrated about it...but I think I can at least enjoy the process...whereas exams get me really anxious... Thanks for your response! :)
