So, I have been checked into the ER over a suicide attempt earlier today.

I have no clue what is going to happen next. I think I probably should have succeeded that attempt. This is just making me more of a bother than I already was.

thank goodness you're still here. you are a valuable member of WP. i hope that you get some good help and that whatever wounds you have heal well and quickly.

PM me when you get out of the hospital. i read back over some of your posts. you are a smart guy. when i was in 12-step, i used wisdom as my higher power. you might try it. you suffered abuse as a child. that makes depression more likely now. depression (which may have been the cause of your recent sleeplessness) is treatable. i'm so glad your childhood abusers weren't successful in getting you to off yourself.

You are an Opeth fan. You have so much more headbanging to do.

Here is an update. There are currently no open beds in any local psych ward, so the plan is to keep me here in the ER indefinitely until a bed opens up for me. Lovely.

I love your posts and hope you are not feeling suicidal anymore. Think of the people here who value you, not the ones who didn't know how to love you properly because they couldn't love themselves.

I hope you are able to get some good recovery. Hospital stays are rough, and sleeping in the ER is a pain, but I hope you are able to get some healing.

Finally in a hospital bed. They gave me my own room, which is nice, I suppose. Time for me to pass out. I will update further tomorrow.

You were doing quite well and had a setback. Don't let your failures and this setback define who you are, and don't give in to those in your family who don't understand you.

We care for you here and I am so glad you're still with us. You are of value to us as a community even though we don't know you personally. And I am one of many here on WP who have been following your progress and we have seen your desire to move on, and your commitment to put the past behind you.

It's because of the behaviour of others in your past that you have gone through so much heartache. Don't let them triumph! Fight on.
