I dislike any type of effort and I'd happily lay in bed all day doing nothing.
What can I do to solve this problem?

Stack interesting and useful things/books on your bedside table. For instance, as I know you have interests in foreign languages, it could be some comic books in that language.

He'll still end up staying in bed. For me, once I get out of bed I tend to continue moving. Maybe put an annoying alarm somewhere in your room where you are forced to get up to stop it.
