I am 28 and living at home with my mum. I was working part time but left due to mental health issues. Since then I had an invite to an interview for a job i liked, but my mum said I wouldnt cope with the job, so I didnt go....

living at home is making me worse. It's like I have no drive, no motivation. I cant function the way I know I can. I constantly feel like a weaker version of my self.

My mum is disabled and I feel trapped into staying here to look after her. I am considering moving away but I am facing 2 main issues.1) I live in the city, so i cant afford anywhere unless i house share, which i rly rly dont want to do. 2) I have a 2 yo border collie. He sleeps quite a bit now thats hes no longer a pup, but I am not sure if he can handle being at home all day.

So do I stay or do I go?

I think I am making terrible excuses and that its all just fear, but I still cannot make a decision and move forward.

I wish there was an easy solution to this.

Your mother wants you around so you could take care of her. In what way is she disabled--physically or mentally?

It is the Primal Urge for people in their 20's to want to leave the Mother's Nest. I can understand your desires.

But who would take care of your mother should you leave?

How does your mother treat you, anyway? I hope she appreciates how you take care of her.

Nobody. My older brothers have moved out to start thier own family and pursue careers. She has a physical disability, meaning she cant walk much. I sometimes have to drive her about because shes in too much pain. I think she probably could cope on her own, but like you said is trying to keep me here.

Seems like your brothers have left you "holding the bag," so to speak.

But...if there's a "Supreme Being" up there, you would be the one to go to Heaven for taking care of your mother.

Saying this, I think it would be better if you got at least a part-time job.
