My brother is visiting for Christmas but I'm upset

My younger brother is visiting for Christmas. He's NT and 15 but I'm upset because he is more advanced than me now socially and he is naturally good with people, he's not an ass or anything, he likes playing jokes on people and can get along with anyone. He also is blessed with good looks.

Unfortunately I don't have good looks and I've worked hard to improve with people but I feel as if I'm not good enough now because he is better than me. He doesn't have to try to be the way he is. He doesn't have to struggle as much as me.

I know how you feel. My brother is the same way. He's always had success while I failed.

Just think that you're getting better, and try to enjoy yourself in your own way.

As a whole people should try to share struggle. If your brother learns that late, your experiences will speak louder for themselves.

Life isn't a zero-sum game. Your brother being attractive/outgoing/effortless has nothing to do with you.

You may, simply possess attributes that are different to those, of your Brother. You are not less than him.

You are special in your own right. You are authentic, and you are wise beyond your years. You are unique.
You are introspective, insightful and creative, and you are beautiful. Those are just some of your attributes I've noticed, from my brief encounters with you, on the forum.

I used to compare myself to my sister, in some regards. My Mom taught me to write down the things I liked about myself, and the things that I thought I had done well. She would point out the ways in which I was unique to my sister and remind me/both of us, that we are just different. I do understand watching others have an easy time with things that can be tremendously challenging for us. It can be discouraging and frustrating and it can remind us of how much we do struggle with various aspects of life. Your feelings are most valid and justified.
