Type background , first , that metal backpack I had been wearing came unmoored ' ,with the strapsr holding it in place choking loose ,it rswungu around loosely now wwhen worn .
Second ' more fortunately ' I was able to get a 2nnd hand tablet ,
I'm writing on it now .hen I was in the reading room of the shelter to use this tablthis morning...

...This thread got delayed greatly , and then MUCH WORSE happened !

...Briefly~
My backpack degenerated into no longer being held securely , but swinging around .
However , enough money came along that I was able to buy ~ a 2nd hand tablet .
Something for the shelter , anyway ! But with the faults at least alluded to above .
Then - While in the day room , using the tablet , with my backpack in the next room - it got tons of s**t stolen from it ~ Basically all publications , not obviously " steal me " stuff - even a (rather expensive) Bible !
And whoever stole from it also cut up the mooring/straps so those are all f****d up now ! How malicious .
I had hoped some friend at the shelter might help me fix the backpack , just a friend did , apparently , help me fix the tablet some (I was going to try and re-do this posting .) ~ And then , this morning , while I had the tablet out in the open , recharging ~ it was stolen .
Over $100 dollars value , and , incisentally , this must make $600 worth of stuff stolen/lost/worn out since first I was in the shelter f**k !
Oh , and of course , the shelter staffer , on duty just up from where the stolen tablet was - " saw nothing " .
