I used to be excited for my birthday, but now as it nears I only get anxious. I'm scared of becoming an adult. I don't feel mentally prepared at all. I know that I won't be able to hold a job unless I really enjoy it, and talking with other people is so stressful and exhausting that I avoid it altogether. I'll have a hard time doing things on my own because I struggle with simplistic things and I don't even take care of myself. I don't know what I'm going to do once I have to start supporting myself financially, and just generally. I'm scared.

Join the military. Don't tell them you're AS.

Even if they figure out you're AS, the worst that can happen is they kick you out for faulty enlistment.

I survived 4 years and got an honorable discharge.

You might last the full 20 years and retire in your 40's.

I had that kind of concerns as a teenager. My parents told me not to worry, because life would push me along. It didn't.
