Ever since my aunt compared me to a man because of my hair and my brother agreed with her I hate my hair. When I wash it and get out of the shower I have to look in the mirror because I comb it.

My hatred of my hair makes me feel like when I wear makeup i look like a man in drag. There have been times when I look in the mirror and tell myself I look like a man and cuss myself out while doing so.

Don't listen to those people!

You look like a woman to me! Always have!

^He is right, long flowing hair is traditionally very feminine.

Maybe it was a not-so-clever way of suggesting that you get a sophisticated hair cut?

If anything, I think not washing your hair is what could make it look somewhat masculine. After all, men are expected to be much more comfortable than women being filthy

She made the comment after I washed my hair. I hate being filthy.

I've never seen you as anything but feminine.
