Apparently one of my aunts on my dads side of the family, fell out of a tree doing something and fell on her head and was injured. Last I heard she doesn't remember anything except for her gardens, she liked growing awesome gardens with lots of vegetables and such. But she's always been a very caring person and uhh it just makes me sad.

I am glad she can at least remember the gardens though so maybe she can recall memories in her garden with family and maybe get her memory back some that way. My family keeps posting to pray for her, and most of them are christians or most closely related to that as far as religion....I don't even really have a religion but I have a liking for some of the nordic theology so have talked to Freya from time to time(whether placebo effect or more I cannot say), I suppose that's good enough even if its not the god they're thinking of to pray to.

Very sorry to hear that, sweetleaf. I hope her memory returns and she's okay.

Sorry about your aunt.

How long ago did this happen? Frequently, via time, memories are restored--except for the immediate events of when she fell out of the tree.

Best wishes for your aunt.

Recovery from head injuries can take a very long time - even lifelong. Most likely it's not going to be simply memory loss, but gross impairment in executive functions or in discreet skills like language. I think you can help your aunt by sending a card or letter occasionally, that someone can read to her. Keep it upbeat and let her know you are thinking of her.
