Future self visiting younger you

Anyone ever have a sense that you were being told about yourself by an older self telling your history as in a testimony or 12 step talk and that everything would be better and it gave you hope. .. Or other emotion ..perhaps fear...

I think about this sometimes but I'm pretty sure my younger self would not have listened to me.

I would pay rapt attention to my older self, who has GOT to know more than I do right now!

Richard Bach used this technique in his Bridge Across Forever.

He told his story of doing well in the beginnings of romantic relationships.

I still like their story even after I learned the couple later divorced.

I wish I could hop into the WABAC machine and visit my younger self at Disneyworld in 1991 and warn myself to not listen to that slimy time share salesman, and instead take that money and invest it in Microsoft and later AOL.
