Friend is dying

Got a letter today. The biggest, baddest, SOB I know is on his death bed. Liver cancer. Could take a while. I so hate this. There is nothing I can do either. I'm on his list so the DOC should let me know when he passes.

We had so great times back in the day. Some crazy times too. I hope this goes easy for him.

I had to actually watch somebody near death a couple of times.

Very humbling experience.

With one person, if he had health insurance, and was able to say that he wouldn't drink again, he'd probably still be alive.

I'm hoping he will have a visiting day before. I got so much I want to tell him.
