How often do people make big mistakes in life?

Whether it is work related or personal life how often do make big mistakes? I know everyone makes mistakes. I seem to make them more often than most.

I am wondering if I am too hard on myself.

Well look at how many people are in prison at any giving time and there are different kinds of mistakes that people can make outside of legal problems. We are all equally broken before God and nothing we can do can save our souls. Human nature is evil but I find people have good intentions. Do the best you can do and give the rest to God. Realize we all fall down and our mistakes don't define us, its how we pick ourselves up that creates character. We learn from our own mistakes as much as we learn from others around us. Don't judge those around you for their mistakes and you won't be judged for yours. I find when my mistakes bother me, I escape reality a bit with music. If this is something that bothers you, you need to make peace with who and what you are. No one is prefect, don't worry about it and do your best.

This is almost irrelevant to the topic but I have found this to be true. Human nature is evil. Very self serving. At the same time life can be a game of survival so that is why I believe some people come across as evil but may not really be.

I've made a few I regret to this day.
1. In order to make friends, I started smoking crack with this cute Puerto Rican guy. My cocaine addiction lasted for 22 years.
2. I had a Vietnamese boyfriend which I broke up with because I wanted to pursue my music dreams. That was over 25 years ago and, even to this day, I still realize that was a mistake.
