i could tell you a sortafunny tale of biting the dentist's hand. he was multitasking, i was about 15 going on 9, immature. anyways, when he ducked out to see another patient next door, i reached around and cranked up the nitrous [laughing gas] and sailed right out of my body to some all-white place far away, i could barely hear the office, no more drilling and whining and other dental noises. just white. then i suddenly heard an OW! and then i slammed back into my body with a shuddering thud, and turns out in my bliss i bit down on his hand, and he thought he hurt me when i jerked in the chair.

I was 12 and getting teeth extracted. I ran away from the dentist’s chair. The dentist had no sympathy for me.

Nevertheless, I persevered.
