I'm just lonely and feel a need for attention. It's not like I have any friends. I'm resorting to talking about a traumatic experience on another site just for the attention (no, I'm not making anything up, just continually talking about it). I must be a crazy person, re-traumatizing myself.

Hi Butterfly, Ive always been curious about your avatar, is it one you made yourself?
What do you do for fun, do you have any interests you could start a thread about here? Is the trauma related to your present loneliness?

Amity- Hi. I didn’t make my avatar, found it online. I collect postcards, I like board games, and video games. I haven’t found too many threads I can relate to but I guess I can start my own. My present loneliness is mostly due to social anxiety, not the trauma.'

Beau- Thank you.

Sleepingpancake- I don’t think I’m fond of my loneliness.

I like board games, though they usually only come out on holidays, the last one I bought was Pictionary at Christmas, and it was such a laugh, glad I added it to the collection, before that I bought Articulate, also a fun game. Do you have either of them?

Have you any therapeutic support for your social anxiety?

Hi Butterfly88, If you feel the need to talk / write about a trauma, it may not be that you are doing it because you are lonely, it may be because you are not fully healed yet. Not that you can ever completely heal from all traumas. I just know from my own trauma experience of a suicide in the family that a therapist said, "Just tell your story until you don't feel the need to tell it anymore." That's pretty much how it went for me. I just kept talking about it and talking about it (to a very select few) until I didn't need to anymore. Now some twenty years later, I just occasionally bring it up. I don't think I'll ever be totally healed from it though.

I'm sorry to hear how lonely you feel right now. I suppose that all of us have endured horrible loneliness during our lives, but at least we all have this forum and a global network of people just like us to fall back on. I haven't been around for long so I don't know the 'rules' of using PM's , if there are any at all, but why not PM people who seem to closer to your interests/age/location etc? Best of luck!

I have Pictionary. I do have medication I take and will soon have a therapist again (currently switching).

Thank you Beau!

That could be aspie, I'm not sure. Sorry to hear you had a trauma too.

Thank you looking!

Today I appear to be having false memories, I think just to fit in with my PTSD friends. I'm such a loser. Or maybe I've just been hurt a lot, I don't know anymore. :(

Nobody is as alone as they seem to believe. Discarnate-Personalities are always with us.
Several well-documented cases of this can be read in Dr. Carl Wickland's book...
"Thirty Years Among the Dead" -Dr. Carl Wickland

I also remember a post some years or months or in between back, someone looking for more attention, and I most-certainly knew effective methods of gaining attention, but the question was whether they can handle that kind of extra attention. You have to remember, when someone becomes absurdly famous like I once was a few times in my life, they will get all variations of attention. I am talking both good and bad here, positive and negative, and you need to consider as to whether you want to get attention for the sake of getting attention, because you will need to be able to handle any potential negativity that comes along with just simply getting attention.

I, too, have had traumatic-experiences. Such that it even made me literally psychotic for nearly three years in a row. How I managed to make it as far through this life as I did is an incredible enigma/mystery/miracle/etc since I had experienced enough injustices that would have driven most people to have suicided at least four times by now. Anyway, try to taper off medications, otherwise they tend to cause severe withdrawal-symptoms if you try to quit cold-turkey. Replace medications with healthy food instead, consume plenty of pure/clean/purified/filtered drinking-water, stay away from sugars/junk-foods, etc. Move to another state with cleaner air if necessary.

Sorry to hear you've had traumatic experiences too. I eat pretty healthy, never consume tap water, and the air here is fine. Long story short when I wasn't on medication I was suicidal and a harm to myself. I'd much rather take medication then wind up dead.
