I'm only one warning away from ban and yet people are allowed to attack me in my haven post 0.o

Probably just need to kill myself and get it over with. I can't stop shaking . I can't keep going day after crappy day and now I won't have any people to talk to

Wasn't aware anything can be a personal attack. Thought it was just you know calling people names or insulting them.

There's a bunch of people here who just want to hurt me and get me banned and they get away with saying mean hurtful things even in haven yet i get banned for saying anything back.

Sorry you feel so misunderstood here. What you're feeling sounds awful. Wish I knew how to help. I'm guessing you've tried visiting some of the positive Haven threads?

You are better than all the attackers. I hope you decide to stay.

I have never seen you doing anything worthy of you being banned. They aren't going to ban you just because someone on the site doesn't like you for some reason.

I almost never report people, I never want to see anyone banned from here besides Katy. Doesn't seem others have much concern for fellow Aspies though. Lonely aspie men have been rapidly getting banned from wp lately. A fate worse then death for a lonely Aspies. Which is why I'd never wish it on anyone. I should have just reported them for posting how they did, but even people I hate I'd never want them banned.

There's no other place like wp out there, no other community for me :( I don't have any friends. I don't talk to my family beyond what's needed. This was it for me and now I'm being exiled soon

Maybe if you shared the reasons for your strikes to figure out what you might do differently? Or maybe you tried that already? If so, sorry about that. Is there anything you haven't tried to feel better, maybe some crazy idea you have that might be positive, but you can't imagine yourself getting from here to there?

We may have our differences, but from what I've seen of your posts I don't see why you should be banned. Maybe I just have a high tolerance, but I've seen people on here who have acted in an intentionally insulting and inflammatory manner, and you're not one of those people. You may have opinions other people on here may not like, but that's not at all the same thing. As a person who tends to have strong opinions on things, I think other people should have the right to have strong opinions as well, even if I don't agree with them.

Don't give up hope. s**t happens, people make mistakes, the important part is that a person learns, and others around them are willing to forgive. Anyway, I hope you decide to stay as well.

Talk to the moderators, I don't feel they have ill intent towards anyone, at least they haven't made me feel that way and they'd would probably be understanding even if they can't do anything. Might want to try and talk to Alex too but he probably won't have it. Not because he doesn't care but because he is probably busy. I can see how you were misunderstood and if you are banished from the forums, don't let it get you down. Breath and play some Skyrim and realize you have a greater purpose then fitting in with the crowd. I remind myself of it daily.

I don't fit in among my own either and don't take my post in the other forum as an attack, all I was saying is you have to choose your battles wisely. If you are like me and can't get long with anyone then fine, accept it and embrace it but don't attract unnecessary attention. I frequently feel targeted and punished for no reason by those around me and in those situations, the best thing to do is to be part of the background. Remember people can't control your thoughts, you can think anyone is an idiot but don't make it known.

Take a higher path with it comes to social inadequacies, not everyone was made for the purpose of having 1000 friends or even one friend.

Hi sly279,

We barely post to each other, probably because I'm a 51-year-old woman, old enough to be your aunt.

There have been times in the past when I've taken a break from WP because I put up a post of my opinion with an innocent intention, and people would either completely ignore me or respond in a mean, nasty way. I understand that people can disagree, but there's no need to attack each other. I was feeling attacked, so I just quietly left and found other ways to spend my time.

Now that I'm back (this time), for whatever reason, it seems more peaceful and friendlier. (Plus, I try to stay away from the drama.) If I don't post much to people, it's simply because of things going on in my own life that I'm trying to deal with, some good, some bad. Anyways, things can change for the better. I say this realizing what a struggle it can be when you're different ... I have tons of enemies outside of WP, simply for being a creative free spirit.

So I say, find your talents and follow your dreams, whether here or somewhere else. And if you're any good, you're going to get opposition. It comes with the territory.

I really hope you can stay here, sly279.

...

This is why I keep saying that no one (even this Katy person) should ever be banned 100%. Banning should be no more than a month at the most. Being banned can be very harming psychologically and I'm speaking from an NT's point of view. Right now, this is really my only way to get my small talk needs fulfilled. I'm sure Aspies would feel much worse getting banned.

So if Alex reads this, please take this into consideration and have the policy changed of there is one. People change and shouldn't be banned forever.

There are other websites, and it pays to have accounts on those, as well. That way, if a person gets banned from one website, they aren't cast adrift in social isolation. People should also learn each website's Rules, and remember where they are before submitting posts full of false claims, spurious logic and inflammatory opinions.

I agree completely but seeing as how this is a site for people with autism, I think we should tread carefully here. I think we should look at people's intention, I believe in sly279's case, he might lack social judgement which I believe a lot of us do. We shouldn't ban people for having a symptom of poor social skills and lack of boundaries unless they mean to be hurtful. Seriously Fnord, do you believe he set out for this miscommunication? He just needs social skills, love and patience, not a ban. I personally relate a lot to what sly279 is feeling and I believe there is a middle ground between your logic, which is sound by the way, and compassion. I don't think his intention was to hurt you, he may not see things the way you do and it might be painful for him so understand that.

It's impossible to accurately assume another person's intent, especially when their actions do not match their stated intent, even more so when the statement of intent is made only after they've got themselves into trouble for their actions.

That's why evidence - the physical record of action - should carry more weight than any testimony or post-hoc statement of alleged intent.

As for autism, it is not a "Get Out of Jail Free" card that excuses violations - even people with autism have to abide by the rules.
