Wondering if there are more out there like me. For anyone who doesn't know what this is, it's a wonderful medical condition where your spine is at a severe angle. Some older people in their 70s and older you will see where their back is so bent that they are always looking at the ground. I was lucky enough to inherit this trait. If I am wearing a shirt I can hide how extreme it is most of the time.

But people always look at me. I can't work outside with my shirt off like most people, never can ride a motorcycle, never go to the beach, really limits the ladies when I toss in my aspergers. I've dealt with it since I was young and always had people comment on it. Only is getting worse and I am 31. I've seen people as bad as me when they are in their 90s, so I am way ahead of schedule. I am to the point that I gave up in women, can't imagine their reaction if I took my shirt off and saw how bad I am. I can hide it a bit but cannot do it nonstop. I've always looked at the ground most of my life, probly due to eye contact problems. May have to pay hookers to pretend to like me, but at least I will always spot change on the ground that people drop.

I can get it partially correct with surgery where you get these awesome metal rods and they fuse multiple segments of your spine so I lose some mobility, and need at least a year to recover which I can't do, I need to work to try to survive. What a mess. Pretty lonely life. End of my rant

You're young. I'm wondering if surgery might be in your best interest.

Kyphosis offers a very limited view of the world. If you are more upright, you will see more beauty in the world.

And you might have more success with the ladies, too.

I have a mild version of it. I have had psychological issues due to it though (BDD). I forced myself to gain muscle to try and hide it (by eating a lot and lifting weights constantly), but in the end I ended up becoming overweight. I'm not hunched over so much as my stomach curves out making me look fatter than I really am.

In my teens people used to tell me to "stand up straight" and it made me want to scream at them. I can't, my bones are f*****g deformed you a**hole! Be happy you don't have this! People are so f*****g stupid. I was never officially diagnosed, but I'm sure as hell I don't have just a posture problem. If it was just posture my back would straighten out when I lay down. It doesn't. I have to sleep on my side to feel comfortable.

I don't enjoy standing in place for long periods of time because my back gets tired and achy very quick. I have minor sideways scoliosis as well which contributes to the pain.
