Someone to sit beside me

Last Friday I went to the AT&T store to try and get some help with my super-low-end AT&T phone (which I was told is low-end it is not really a " smartphone " but some phrase I forget) ~ I got a little but not a lot .
I tried to get the AT&T store female to sit by me and show me , so I could see what to do and follow , but she wouldn't do that .
This rather extends to my lack of help that I have received , that is , the help that I have NOT received to improve my computer ~ on both desk-laptop and smartphone ~ that I have begged and begged for here , even putting up mASSIVE walls around me asking for any financial/material/circumstancial help ~ Even doing so apparently no one , i the 7.1 million population San Francisco Bay Area read this and cares/d to help me .
It really don't want some " teacher " ~ like at the library where I'm banned ? or this lab I'm at now , which endlessly bans me or threatens to ? ~ quickly do a pass and then , metaphorically or literally , pat me on the head and say " There ! Now do it for yourself ! I know you're competent . I'm sure you can..." NO I CAN'T , really .
My verbal-ness and surface posting ability covers this up .

If you are able to play YouTube, that is where I always go to get instructions, like for the phone i just got. I am able to replay parts where I did not understand at first and go back later and play again if need to be reminded of how whatever works. The person doing the youtube video never gets bothered if I make them repeat stuff a bunch of times until I get it.

...I don't have infinite time ~ or stuff infront of me on which to learn while I watch YT ~ and , really , I find it ha ~ I need the personal angle .

...The cheap AT&T phone (This is continued from my " Phone , 'Net gone " post) has stopped picking up YouTube , practically all I used it for ~ Maybe I could go back to the AT&T store where I got a small bit of help ,but I'm not optimistic ~ There I , when I asked to be shown stuff by someone sitting by me , got the same reply I got here ~ " o to a third party ! Go somewhere else ! "
NO ONE will help me . I'm clumsy and big , I know:-(...I turn people off (And I'm obviously "homeless , or poor anyway) ...........

...I have been told that , essentially , I don't seem to have computer-useage problems but that is just because I am verbal and (when I try especially) " write well " ~ I am painfully aware of my lack of skills .
There are people who post here who talk about their non-verbalness , or their meltdowns , but seem to write well enough on here ~ That's not uncommon .
I just would love so to have someone help me , help me to improve my computer abilities ~ I PROMISE I would not ask for money or " stuff " or a place to stay in such a situation .
Please , can't someone help me ?

Why don't you write out a sample paragraph and post it here and then people can tell you what you're doing well and what you need to work on? If it's posted you could get better quality feedback.

Ohh. Hm. You know what you need is a class with a virtual environment. That is like a window that you click on and it simulates something like Word, but it's structured. You'd have lessons with pre-made documents that you follow directions to alter and through doing that you learn how to use Word. There are things like that for many common software systems. There used to be free classes called things like "Introduction to Microcomputers" that would help with that sort of thing. I don't know what there are these days.

I know you're having trouble at your library, but libraries often have free classes in this sort of thing.

...I am putting all of this here , since it is a new thread .
To-day (Tues.) was when the appeal/trial was scheduled at the Main Library and I fully intended to go .
However , at the time my worker came for me , I started to have a digestive system attack , which ruined the underwear I had put on that day (Maybe?? I could have kept it for cleaning ? However , there was quite a bit of fecie clinging to it ~ I decided that it was too much .) , it was smelly , I had to clean myself & change .Though I have some used underwear I will likely go to Target yet again and buy another bag of new underwear . I do keep underwear , but some is so dirty I toss it !
So I told the worker (Who had , in the past , neglected to tell the ML when I had been in the hospital and unable to go to the earlier trial) to say I had a medical emergency , or similar . I asked him to say " like before " , or like that but I don't know if he got that .
I didn't outline that he had neglected to tell them before .
I did want to argue my case ~ He offered to go and argue for me , I refused that ~ So now ????? ????
Look , in trying to make a more home-y situation , I spent ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN DOLLARS ! !! !! !! !! ` for things that just broke basically , instantly .
If I had the ability to " set up housekeeping" a bit , whether there or elsewhere ~ Well , I could try and feel more comfy .
Actually , during he night & day , my bloated stomach and my lack of sleep , with the glare making slepep I manage rather incomplete , has me a glumph-yyy and exausted ~ Now that I am here at this computer lab , accomplishing something (In the limited time I have ~ I paid $5 for a day pass but the day is almost over there was less than two hours left when I checked in , now jus' 20 minutes or so ) ~ If I just had what ` just a sembalance of ` what " normal people " have at home !
Like decent light , an Internet conectetion , a refrigerator - Not even cooking appliances , just a refriigerator would improve things - Maybe a chair tosit down in , too .

Why aren't you on disability?

This underwear situation seems expensive. I would say that what you need to decrease your stress, improve your comfort, and keep people from picking on you is to move to adult undergarments. But that may be more expensive than what you're doing? I mean, these kinds of situations are what disability is FOR, right?

As to downloading, it depends on where you are downloading from. Are you trying to download from the Internet, such as a picture from a page, or are you trying to download a document from your email account. Another piece of information that would help is what your Internet "browser" looks like. Is it an "E" (Internet Explorer), a fox (Mozilla Firefox), or a disk (Google Chrome)?

...I get SSDI (I believe that's the phrase for it .) , I get it in a weird way , divided by the week ~ Which leads to me not being that able to pile enough money for bigger more ambitious purchases , with the month's amount divided by the week , though , admittedly it also makes it sure I won't be completely money-less very long . I know I've mentioned this here before ! !! !!
I just paid for a month's pass to the computer lab at a Salvation Army center here (with some blocking on the computer ~ I couldn't get to Esquire magazine's site ! !! !! !! !! !!) , with this first month's amount being more expensive for sign-up .
I really need a clock , too .
I still am having trouble getting anything out of the cheap AT&T Go-Phone , I tried to get help from my worker at the apartment complex proper ~ I put off going to the AT&T store another day , I wanted to get some Internet in and wanted to come here and pay for a month's worth ~

People who work at stores or libraries etc have jobs that require them to do things other than sit beside a customer and give them what amounts to a computer 101 course. For that you either need to take a class or have a friend or relative who has the time to sit there and teach you. There may be free classes at some sort of community education thing in the evenings at high schools or something, or someone at some social services group could teach you if there is anything like that.

However, instead of just begging strangers and other posters to either sit there for hours and teach you or send you money to pay for some class to teach you, why not try and barter something with someone to teach you? Do you have some skill or something you could do in exchange for someone taking their time to show you? Is there a reason you want to learn this skill that you could put forward to persuade someone in a social services type job to find you a tutor? As in learning this skill could help you do something to earn money or help yourself in some way, rather than just wanting to learn it to have fun with it or to know how because everyone else seems to know how? In other words, asking people for a meal so you don't starve to death is one thing and people are more willing to give that than asking people for several hours so you can learn how to put up videos on YouTube or Photoshop stuff for fun. What will the person teaching you get out of doing it amd what will you get out of it when you learn how? If you find something convincing for either of those two things your more likely to get what you're looking for. Folks are more likely to take the time to show you how to use a program so you can get a job than they are to spend their time showing you how to entertain yourself. Find a convincing reason you need to know this or come up with something to offer in return and you might find a tutor.

Also, you have mentioned your hygiene several times and I want to suggest that if you're going to ask for someone to sit beside you for hours to show you this, and to do all of that for free, that you be showered and have on clean clothes for it. Most won't willingly sit by you for hours and teach you up close like that even if you missed one or two showers during a hot and sweaty summer, so you would be hard pressed to find someone to show you if you are very dirty and unkempt.

Also, another thing to remember is that many people will not be willing to do this because they will say that your priorities are wrong if you aren't spending time or trying to find a way to take care of your own self instead of just worrying about learning how to play on the computer more. It would be like having both your legs cut off but worrying and complaining about having a bad manicure with a smudged nail.

So those are probably the reasons why you're having trouble finding someone to help you with it. Also, maybe there are people who work in the psychiatric field who have classes in that during occupational therapy if you would consider inpatient treatment somewhere. I know I've been in the psych unit before and it really wasn't unpleasant.

I have REAL experience of being in a psych ward ~ In 1980 , (later on , too) when they stuffed me full of Thorazine/Mellaril/the like and RUINED my life ~ I KNOW what psych wards are like ! !! !! !! !! !!

Mine was in this past decade, and they were about depression and also once for a suicide attempt. I just talked to them politely and discussed my treatment options with them and nobody forced me to do anything I didn't want to, except one time they wouldn't let me smoke for the whole time but did give me a patch, which didn't help all that much without xanax, which this dr didn't believe in giving out, and he wasnt that much help but the antidepressants and the time away and to myself to think and all was.

It may just depend on how you talk to them and how you come across and how compliant you are and how willing you are to work with them.
