Remaining friends with someone I have feelings for
I seem to be finding it really difficult to remain friends with someone I have feelings for.
Without going into details, this situation is one that's filled with regrets on my part.
I've endured this strain for a long time and I want to remain friends despite the stress.
But it's actually getting to be too much for me.
I accept that I will probably never be with the person I have feelings for.
Regarding the friendship, walking away from a strong friendship just isn't something I associate myself with, but despite how long I've endured this for, I'm beginning to doubt my ability to keep the friendship going.
It wasn't hard until I met up with her again recently, and I thought it would be absolutely okay for me.
I think however, meeting up hurt both of us - there hasn't been communication for days now.
Eventually everything will be fine - the regret will one day be truly a thing of the past, and the attraction will one day fade.
But for now, this is hard.

Happiness never decreases by being shared.
Believing in yourself takes stubborn daily practice.
The moment your mind begins to doubt, you have to correct it.
It also means ignoring all evidence of your failure - this is something the neurotypical people live by.
The fact that it works so well for them is literally supernatural to me.
So, the only real answer is to keep telling yourself that she will like you. If that gets too tiresome to continue, pick a new girl and do the exact same thing.
How neurotypical people do this without getting restraining orders, I will never understand. Oh, strike that - they do get restraining orders. So there's also got to be a balance.
See how hard this stuff is?
I'm even feeling my doubts just as I write this.
im in same situation.
its fading slowly though we are interacting on social media.
but i can feel the emotion fading away.
thats better atleast it will come to a end.
slow end is better than sudden departure

Namaste, I'm sorry you are going through this.
I too have had to face the fact. That my chemistry simply will not allow me to feel attraction at will. If it had, I would have been happily married before the end of high school. I knew which girl was exactly right for me, but all I did was lead her on, try to make myself feel it, only for my body to lose interest, no matter how much my brain tried to make me pursue her.
The duality of humankind is beyond heartbreaking.
