Who knew I had a brain?

It's incurable.

So yeah, I'm dying.

Life is weird.

And funny.

And beautiful.

I don't want any messages of sympathy here.

If you want to post anything, please post something weird, funny or beautiful.

Because that's what I really need right now.

 Raleigh

Nothing is incurable with the power of God, you don't have to be a believer of religion for that to be a peaceful thought. Just consider the different possibilities. You don't have to limit it to one or any belief, the possibilities in the universe are limitless. Nothing ceases to exist completely, life will alway go on even if its just a memory. You will always be a part of the artwork of the universe. Perhaps if you allow for a chance for the impossible to happen, you'll see life from a different stand point.

Raleigh, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I do hope you consider reading "multidimensional man" and "vistas of infinity" sooner rather than later as they will prepare you.

heaven is REAL, and makes "lifestyles of the rich and famous" seem like abject poverty.

I never know what to say at times like this, so I'm sending you one of my favorite Grumpy Cat pictures.........

Image

She always makes me smile and has gotten me through some of the worst of times. You know, Grumpy Cat is Aspie - she smiles on the inside.

Raleigh this is an enormous shock, for you and those of us here who treasure your presence on Wrong Planet. You may not know that I have had cancer in the past, and I remember how unreal it felt to be informed of the diagnosis - as if I was watching a film about someone else, really. But reading what you have written feels all too real, and it distresses me to know of your illness.

You will be constantly in my thoughts now, everyday. I know you are both a sensitive and strong person, with many different strands to your self. Now perhaps you will find that you call on less used parts of your self, and draw strength from them. Cancer taught me things and took me through experiences that were really quite special, and drew others who loved me closer. I hope that there will also be unexpected upsides for you, whatever the nature of them may be.

I remember last year, when R2D2 told us how very ill he was, that his cancer was at an advanced stage and he did not expect to survive it, as his kind of cancer has a very high mortality rate. He doesn't post on WP anymore, and has had extensive and aggressive treatment, and when I last checked his Facebook page earlier this year he was still going strong and the treatment was working. I also hope that this unexpected recovery will happen for you.

Doctors don't know - and don't pretend to know, if they are honest - why some people recover against the odds. I don't know either, though I have seen it happen in extraordinary circumstances.

Severe illness is a journey to the centre of the hidden, unknown heart and soul of ourselves. We meet a person there who is bigger and stronger and in every way more wonderful we supposed; it is the hidden self, and it is healing self, and it is the powerful self. The self who knows far more than our everyday version of ourselves.

May that journey for you be blessed with unexpected benefits and marvellous experiences. Please get all the rest you need; care for yourself with loving kindness; seek the company of those who can appreciate and encourage you without judgement, as they too can be healing forces.

Thank you for sharing this with us. Be hopeful, you are precious. ((( )))

I know I'm breaking your request but I do want to say I'm so terribly sorry to hear of this, and I'll be thinking of you.

Weird and funny maybe I can do ...

Dear friends, it is with the saddest heart that I have to pass on the following:

The Pillsbury Doughboy died Monday of a severe yeast infection and complications from repeated pokes to the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out, including Mrs. Butterworth, the California Raisins, Hungry Jack, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The graveside was piled high with flours as longtime friend Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy, describing Doughboy as a man who "never knew how much he was kneaded".

Doughboy rose quickly in show business but his later life was filled with many turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, even as a crusty old man, he was considered a roll model for millions.

Toward the end it was thought he'd rise once again, but he was no tart. Doughboy is survived by his second wife, Play Dough. They have two children, with one in the oven.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

... but if you want "beautiful", then you'll just have to look in the mirror.

Fnord, that was funny. :D The end of your message made me go, "Awwwww".

I used this for my old avatar, and it used to crack me up:
