I want to get my life together but I am not able to
I was diagnosed with Aspergers in grade school. I am 26 now and I feel like my entire life has fallen apart. I barely made it through high school because I had incredible writing anxiety; pretty much any creative writing or essays were written by my parents. On the strength of pretty much my mathematical accomplishments and SAT/ACT scores alone I ended up in a very prestigious college to major in either math or physics (I never declared), but I could not control occasional bouts of depression and everything ended up crumbling apart my second year. I transferred to a less intensive university, but once again, I could not focus enough on any classes other than mathematics courses and abruptly stopped attending the week before my finals, halfway through my mathematics degree (I have no idea what my grades ended up as for those classes at the time; I had straight As leading up to the finals but I have been too afraid to look or check my university emails or anything ever since). So I tried to find a job. The first job I had I trained at a tech support call center for two weeks, and then my first official day on the phones I had an anxiety attack where the paramedics were called in, and I quit the next day. I applied for assistance in finding a job with the local disability board, but I don't think they knew what they were doing with me because I was too high-functioning to qualify for most programs, but not high-functioning enough to hold a steady job on a regular routine. I got a job working phones and IT at a home health care company, and somehow I managed to stick with it for a year before completely melting down one day and typing a two-weeks notice without even thinking. That was almost two years ago; I reapplied for the job assistance program and though I've been working with them ever since they have not been able to find a job that suits me. When I was at the first college, I racked up $4000 in credit card debt because it was the first time in my life I felt free and kinda went overboard, and I have yet to make a dent in it today, despite paying around $100 a month in interest fees (I get some money from doing freelance computer repair and the rest from pretty much begging my family). In addition, the only medication that ever seemed to help me in my life caused an increase in my appetite, and I have been hovering around 60 lbs obese for the last five years or so, which has contributed to my depression and low self-esteem more than anything else so far. I went off the medication last year and started losing a little weight, but I have been completely miserable and prone to depression since. A month or so ago I started to feel incredibly lonely for some reason (it just kinda hit me, I don't know why) and have been trying to find new friends or start a relationship (something that I never had any interest in before, so not only is it hard enough for me to talk to people without being spoken to first, but I have literally zero experience with romance) but have failed spectacularly. I have a very narrow set of interests (mathematics, classical, jazz, art-rock, and punk music, and board games and retro video games) and I can't seem to find anyone that shares even one of them around here, and the rare someone that seems interesting I can't even drum up enough courage to talk to them.
Ok, so that's pretty much my life story. I'm sure I'm forgetting some key elements but I will add to this if I remember and anyone cares. I've tried hundreds of times over the last eight years to rectify things, but when I try to work on things one at a time (like focusing only on my weight, or only on my debt) the other things that I neglect completely weigh me down and any progress I make is quickly reversed. On the other hand, working at more than one thing at a time is pretty much impossible for me. I can barely function as it is, let alone trying to push back against all my problems at once. I don't want to still be like this at 30, and it's rapidly approaching. I'm absolutely terrified and depressed.
