I am kind of concerned, but then again he may have just lost his phone and been busy so trying not to worry too much. But yeah just kind of would like some confirmation he's ok or something....he's been homeless for quite a while and also has gone to the hospital for ulcers so I just am hoping he's ok. IDK its just grating on my nerves not having heard from him in the last couple weeks and just hope things are going alright with him at least.

I suppose I could ask my aunt if he's still up in Minnesota, but then I feel bad as I am not the best long distance socializing person and I don't want to make her feel like I only care to hear from her concerning if my dads alright or not.

Yeah, not knowing is hard.

On the bright side, if he went to hospital, well I don't know about USA hospitals, but in Australian hospitals, mobile phones are one of the more commonly pilfered items. So bear in mind that's the most likely thing to have happened.

With luck you'll hear from him soon.

I did hear from him today, and he's doing good...just hasn't been able to get a phone yet.

I see that you have found that your dad is doing OK but I still wanted to say that you shouldn't hesitate to call your aunt when you are concerned. If she is a decent person she won't mind that you only contact her to check on your dad. Hopefully she is just glad that you worry about your dad. You might even mention that you really don't like using the phone or something like that so that she can understand why you don't call.

Good news, don't let the possibility of offending your aunt stop you from asking.

If a person is your dad, you have the right to inquire about him--no matter what.

Yeah that is true, I just worry about how I come off sometimes, I guess. Lol I have asked her about my dad in the past when he's gone up to minnesota and does't have a phone and she never seems to mind. Honestly I would like to go visit my family up there again...though a lot of sh*t heads hang around there and some of them are family members themselves, but there are cool ones and they tend to kind of disregard the sh*theads. My aunt is one of the cool ones.
