You know, I have come to realise that in truth, people on this forum do not really care about the others. Look how many left...were they noticed? No! Look at Mage...she has left barely a ripple. No-one has posted much about her disappearance, even those supposed to be her friends and supporters... same with others who barely come here anymore. I know I have no real friends here... those who should have been supoortive under recent conditions decided to turn nicely on myself and Flagg.

It is a fine day when 3 members are driven away by one who is still welcome here. I, for one, have had enough harrassment in my life without coming here for it. I have also had enough of shallow, fair weather friends. I have had enough of getting settled in somewhere, then feeling pushed out by those who feel some desperate need to cause chaos for me.

So, this time, I am leaving. I most likely will not return. I see no reason to since the same situation will just repeat over and over.
And I have just been another ripple on the tide of this forum.

I knew of RedMage leaving, but I didn't think there was much any of us could do. As for anyone else leaving, I was unaware of it. That doesn't mean I didn't care. I'm guessing that at least some of the other members fall in the same boat as myself.

As for this being the fault of one specific member, well, I'm not aware who that is, but again that doesn't mean I'm happy with it.

I've almost left earlier this year, because I didn't feel welcome, anymore. I was almost one of those people. I'm glad that I didn't leave.

I was saddened a lot when SuPaStAr left...I still keep in contact with him-though don't like to talk about him as it saddens me

I wish you wouldn't leave-I know we haven't talked much but I really wanted to be your friend :) and I will care and make sure your ripples never stop :)
you have my word!

Well I tend to remain on WP not because its a super great utopian aspie brotherhood but because I know in real life I have the same kind of conflicts I have here. Which is alot people like me and alot people hate me. And of those that like me we still might have lots problems often.

Not everybody leaves because of conflicts with other members. Some just develope a new obsession or have to get away because the addiction of the place is counter-productive to their life.I am often sad when people I like leave and happy when some of them return.

There are always going to be people you dont like or who dont like you.I dont think it is fair to say that WPers dont care about people because of this,it's just part of life.We are a diverse group of people who have AS in common, were not clones who are going to like or agree with everyone posting here.

I actually see your comments as attempting to create more "drama",which is something I find annoying.I am sure there are others who agree and find it brave and glad someone brought the issue up....se how different we are.not right or wrong, different.

If you dont feel like you get enough support here then it is only logical that you should leave.I think it might hurt people here who get something out of the support you offer them but if you feel it is all one-sided,then by all means,do what you feel is best for your mental health.

Did i do anything to hurt you and/or flagg?

I don't approve of people being unkind to each other. But we are a board set up to serve people with a special isolating kind of a disorder, and we should all remember that before going storming off. I'm not just talking to Graelwyn (even though I happen to like her). I'm talking to everyone who says Well, everyone hates me, or no one supports me, or you name it.......I don't get flamed much, maybe 'cause I'm older than the dinos, but I still like the people here. But hey, I can zap people who give me a hard time....though I never have. I just give it right back.

For anyone who is thinking of leaving, maybe log off for an hour, calm down, and come back and post a little of your own flames....within reason, of course.

We are all we have, folks.....unless you're better out there than I am. Try being nice, and if you know how to contact the people who left, invite them back.

We've got rules against getting personal, and we should all remember that. Besides that, maybe it's good to rant in public occasionally.

i also noticed that Spacecase hasn't been on for a while(has she left is she still her?) :?
i noticed also other folk have left due to particular members being nasty which has annoyed me but what can i do? i'll miss you if you do leave Grealwyn! :( you are an exellent resource for advice and an extremly good friend i'm sorry you have to go! all the people i talk to hear i respect, because we all have a coommon cause survivind AS. I treat everyone i know the same, with respect and decency only when they teat me differently do i treat them differently! :)

I have tried to be as supportive as possible to people in crisis, and have not really gotten much support in return from certain people. So I'd have to say I agree with your statement. Some people on this forum do not care about others.

I care about RedMage, of course, but I don't post much about her... she doesn't seem to be coming back.

I don't really care much about most people, it's bothersome.

To me, it's hard to tell. One crisis after another. This person wants to kill themselves, that one has the means to do it, this one just got raped, that one's feeling alone and lost and hurt. I have trouble keeping up with the ones who do post.

I do notice how some people, like you, Graelwyn, post again and again. I'm really greatful to you and others like you. I've always seen you all sort of as nurses and counslers in different sort of hospital, selflessly and idligently coming back again and again, reading the painfully written messages we needed to write, always managing to come up with kind, heartfelt words, lending us comfort, even when you yourselves are struggling. It's sad when one leaves. But happy, too, if they don't leave in deep depression. You and your kind are so great just to have been here, and I often feel that you should really be more selfish and go to happier boards and have friendships not founded on pain. You deserve better then The Haven, I feel. At the same time, I wish you wouldn't ever leave, because you help everyone so much. But that's selfish of me, and often I don't know these people well since I just joined, so I don't say anything about the ones who disappear.
