Insensitive parents
So I finally got the HTC Vive which is a virtual reality headset for videogaming. Now I don't even want it for a few reasons. My step mother is the rudest person alive, she constantly comments on how stupid it looks and laughs at my purchase/mocking it, etc. She constantly mocks my interest in video games and makes me feel small. My father doesn't even know I bought it because when he finds out hes going to A. Rage and tell me I am wasting my life etc the whole basic nonsensical schpeel. B. Rage and tell me to return it. C. Laugh just like my step mother and make me feel pathetic.
Now I wanna return it because I can't install it yet thanks to having to screw something into the wall (Anyone know any alternatives to that? Its dry wall) and my anxiety is running now because of the two of them.
While personally I am not a fan of virtual reality headsets, I would certainly not laugh at you or mock you for it. As for "wasting your life" ... that depends on how much time you spend on video games, and how much time you spend doing other things.
Yeah, the installation thing would likely be a challenge for me as well.
Hoping that everything works out well for you.
