I try to do my chores, but I almost always break something or at least come close to it. I ended up tripping on the way up the stairs in my aunt's house, and whacked my forehead against the stair a few stairs up. I'm okay, but if that doesnt say anything about how klutzy I am, I don't know what will. My mom says she'll take up the dishes if I take care of her flying squirrels every night, and so far I havent messed that up yet. My mom and dad really love me, I know that, and I really love them, but I think they worry about me sometimes. They made it to where I'm not allowed to talk to anybody my age IRL, and I get that, I just wanna be normal! Just not bad enough to where I would give in to being a camo wearing redneck duck dynasty and football fan that's just typical around here. So, pretty much all I do is run errands with my mom and take granny and auntie to the doctor with mom, take my iPad/Gameboy/DS with headphones with me me so I won't get bored, and I always dress weird, which does earn me some weird looks, but my mom says bring headphones just to distract myself from that. But when I get to stay home, all I do is homework (everything is homework), take my dog outside to do her thing, watch movies/tv, play video games, draw and write, and post on here. My mom buys me a lot of virtual pet games and stuffed animals to keep me from getting lonely, and I would get really attached to them, but their not real. My point being......

That I'm totally useless! I'm a total crybaby, and I try to be selfless and kind, but when I try, something goes wrong. Without fail.

My mom never said that, but my mom got in a facebook conversation with the principle of the school I used to go to, she said that Pokemon and anime was demonic and that I need to stop it and go to church, and that my lifestyle is "unhealthy", and that I need to grow up. I don't get it. I'm not overweight, and my dog keeps me on my toes, and I'm not that obsessed with Pokemon and the like.... and she can forget church, now darnit. My mom says I'm not the problem, but evem my mom has made mistakes, I'm not blaming my mom for this, but what if I'm the defective one??

(hugs) Don't feel bad about being clumsy. It's pretty common with autism, I think. Is part of your message missing?

The AP's right, and it doesn't make you useless if you're clumsy. I was so clumsy when I was younger, it can be very frustrating and embarrassing. I once knocked a xylophone off the stage at school in front of about 500 people, it made such a noise and all the wooden peg things came off  , and nobody was surprised, because it was me... I seem to have grown out of it a bit though, so don't lose hope  and remember you're far from useless!

On the clumsiness, if you grow out of it (which you definitely might; especially with chores, where practice plays a huge role), awesome. If not, you might not be the best at sports or anything like that, but you can be very good at other things. Einstein was a klutz. Nobody'd call him useless.

As far as being "defective," no, you're not defective for liking Pokemon or having religious preferences that differ from your mother's. Honestly, that just sounds like humongous ignorance and intolerance on her part. You've described doing a lot of homework, so it seems like you're able to function and the things you're passionate about aren't interfering with your schooling. So, if that continues, keep on doing what you're doing. You sound awesome.

Actually, my mom is atheist too. And it wasnt my mom that said that, it was the prinipal of the private school I used to go to. Mom would never say that.

And no, I'm not saying that I'm not thankful for all the nice toys I have, I mean, I have two video game consoles in my room. How could I not be thankful? And the principal lady really doesnt like aspie and autistic kids, so when I went there, she would let the kids make fun of the way I dress, that my yellow jacket was out of season and hurt their eyes, said the kid in flourecent orange basketball shorts. And when principal lady found out how much I like the things I like, she just looked at me, and said that I was a "demon child born in the wrong era" ! I ended up running out of the room crying. This was actually a few months ago, but it still makes me sad.

Also, off topic, but Racheypie, your username reminds me of a character I made up named Rachel.

Good to know. Your last principal sounds kind of unbearable then, I'm glad your mom isn't on the same page.

That's literally abusive.

Teenage kids can be a**holes. I remember it firsthand like it was yesterday. The best way around it is to find people who share your interests, let the haters keep hating. In some areas though, like if you have interests that nobody else around you seems to be into, I'm aware that can be pretty hard.

But seriously, I'm a modern day 14 year old that likes Rainbow Brite. And when she found out how much I like the things I like, she just looked at me, and said that I was a "demon child born in the wrong era" !

Rainbow Brite, harbingers of the apocalypse. Rl'yeh Rainbow Brite fhtagn. Sorry, she's just a parody of herself.

Just be aware that most people look at this situation and see her as the one with issues she needs to deal with, not you. You sound pretty cool, actually.

Al the more reason to be scared of that lady. It's over now, but still.

:? But I'm not a butthole...

Heheheh, she actually sometimes talks like that, sometimes.

8O  thank you....

I'm sorry. :( Your principal sounds horrible. Don't worry, Pokemon and anime are not demonic, nor do the majority of people (even Christians) think like that. Do you live in a really religious fundamentalist area or something?
