To bring you up to date, the Gov't wants $5000 which an accountant says they are right. Apparently gov't has been overpaying me all my life??? and they want it back. They reviewed my whole life when I retired.

This has been going on for a while. I've been phoning creditors to "make arrangements." They are all amenable but I'm going totally sobbable. The creditors cheer right up when I tell them I'm taking *all* my retirement funds, and that is what I arranged last week. I'm going to pay everybody but God help me if I ever need a dime after that.

So it'll take 2 weeks to turn it into money in my chequing account. All day, all day, all day, saying it over and over and over.

Then I made, like, the 9th bowl of spaghetti since lately. There's nothing else. I went to bed.

And woke to hear the announcer say, "Paul is dead." They're reviving that crap. I remember the horribly morbid original in 1966 and don't need it again, especially not now.

Hang in, this is what I'm trying to off me - I went into the kitchen, looked at the eternal spaghetti, and thought, "Pa is dead." Well of course he is, he died 20 years ago. But my loony-brain took over - and that's why I need you now. I went into a waking dream of being a teenager again, and the police coming to the door and telling us Pa is dead. I had enough sense to get out of there and write to you. It was so detailed, so real! And I usually only panic, not hallucinate.

I just took 2 pills.

Write to me! Tell me about your cat or whatever. Say something, anything. I'm alone here.

My cat is sick right now. Maybe you could start a GoFundMe account or something.

Thanks for writing. I'm sorry to hear about your cat. I have a cat too, named Velvet. What's wrong with your cat, is today better?

I wasn't, but the real Bea Arthur (actress) was. This surprises everyone! Later in her life she either denied it or refused to answer questions about it. You can read about it on Wikipedia.

You know what's odd - if I use all of my Pension Plan to pay off all debts, my monthly budget stays the same, only I would have a cushion of empty credit cards. But a vacation? Nope. Nothing left over to save with or pay off something I might charge. Like the dentist. Talk about no frills.

Have you already paid back the overage the government demands?

If not - plead straitened circumstances and arrange a monthly payment plan. Most creditors will go along with that.
