Does anyone care that I am here at WP? The reason why I am asking is not for attention, but to see if I am still wanted here.

if nobody responds that they do want you to stick around, you shouldn't take that to mean that you aren't wanted here. Something along the lines of absence of proof not being proof of absence.

People here seem to be quite independant...not expressing a need or want of particular members so much as simply their support and companionship.

Don't worry, you'll always be welcomed here with open arms Even though people may not say it.

OP: I'd respond to anything and everything if I was able to; I value everyone's input...it's just quite draining on me to write the small amount that I do. Also, if a specific explicit question isn't asked I have a lot of trouble responding, i.e., like when people talk to me and expect reciprocation that they'd like; I've got no idea what they'd like.

of course we want you here. how else would we be able to see that cool avatar? i think it is true that alot of wp members may only post when they feel very strongly about something so nobody should feel ignored even if their topics dont get many responses.

I also like your avatar and have read many of your posts.
I rattled around for bit when I first joined and felt I did not get much connection but eventually found some threads that I post in regularly and feel that people there are my friends.

Yes! You're wanted here. I too sometimes find it too much to respond to everything, but this was certainly worth it.

well i'm glad you're here. can't say i've read your words of wisdom (yet) .. but can say .. i'm glad you're here. your question alone made me feel better, i wonder that all the time.. .. and i like your avatar as well.. i thought it was very kool.

The more the merrier, the variety and diversity of views are what makes this such a valuable resource. Although I haven't been here long, I've read some of your posts, and found them to be interesting and insightful. So, yes, I want you here.

I like your avatar - it's kind of old-time video game meets Escher. It's cool, though if I looked at it too long with all the movement it's probably get to me.
