I can't believe I had no idea this happened until now, but sure enough one of my absolute favorite musicians since high school, Trent Gardner (from the band Magellan) died suddenly on June 11 of this year (exactly a month after my 23rd birthday, as a matter of fact). He was 54 years old, same age as my dad. His brother, Wayne, died a couple of years ago, and their brother, Jack Elroy, died in Vietnam in 1966. I'd like to take a half-hour to commemorate the lives of these extraordinary gentleman with one of my favorite Magellan songs, "The Great Goodnight." Words can't describe just how devastated I feel by this loss...
