Shoes and my birthday .

...I have only 7&1/2 toes , and no big toes ~ so wearing thong sandals is 100% ruled out for me .
At the shelter , there is a mass bathroom .
I have tended to go in barefoot , partly because my one set of shoes (As I've said , I had a 2nd set of shoes - and they were stolen ) are rather complicated to strap on (Plus the instructions for the straps were on the box that it came in ~ which was among the things stolen .
However , the other day , there was some vomit on the floor , and I stepped in it a little .
I went to wash it off , but still .
Again , thong sandals of ANY KIND are a 100% NON-GO-ER for me .
Some sort of shower shoes only would be an expense , and something more I'd have to carry with me - As it is , well , after the latest stuff to disappear from the shelter , maybe I could carry everything on my back/in my hands ~ Maybe .
Some use-able shoes (Such as what were stolen .) that could be more shower shoes would be better , but - especially with my Size 14 Wide or so feet ~ an expense .
It's my birthday in less than two weeks .
Whoopee .
I had , last year when that doctor made that speculation (Later backed away from by another doctor when he felt my condition had improved .) that I could die in less than a year ~ Obviously , I'm still here (My profile of myself still reflects the earlier prediction .)...

...If I just had a place with a decently lit bedroom , the ability to sleep and eat on my own schedule , reasonable Internet connection and could listen to music_ .
Just try and get better , stay there most of the time but get exercise when I need it ...This is routine to most of you , I trust ...If I only could ...
