Anyone else get a lot of anxiety for no reason? I don't think I have GAD, I don't worry a little, I just feel nervous and uptight a lot for no reason, I also have OCD.

I get that sometimes. I have SAD but at times I get anxious when I'm not in social situations at all, so I can't work out what it is. It could be because of your OCD.

Yes, I have had anxiety the last few days, but not surprising given the issues some people seem intent on giving me.
I hate it. I have panic attacks when the stress builds up to a certain level.
I have yet to find a way to control anxiety that has no cause though... it can be hard to ignore. Maybe exercise to use up some of the excess adrenaline might help?

Yes it happens to me. I can get it from waiting too long too.

Yes, i get this too. i have found that several things help:
1. getting regular exercise. tho i have been neglecting my bicycle of late.
2. eating a well balanced meal at least once a day, cutting down on gluten and dairy.
3. Yoga, (or any other type of meditation wld do).
4. recognising and minimising stressors in your life.
5. Really listening to your body clock and not trying to over-ride it. I really wish that I could have 10 hours sleep a night, but I have realised that I can only function if I get around 8+ hours.
6. In spare time make sure that you do a few of the chores before you get on with leisure activities. (That way my flat doesn't rebel and attack me when i least expect it).

What is GAD?

In my early to mid 20s I was a high-anxiety type. I mellowed out as I got older. I still have no idea what precipitated the change.

Hi hun,

I'm sorry your feeling so anxious, i experience the same thing on a daily basis too the point where i have been off work for about 10 weeks now. My g.p has given me a beta blocker called propranolol and that has helped a bit and i am also on a anti depressant called mirtazepine, have you been to your g.p? they may be able to help. Take care.

*HUGS* :)

I can get so anxious that I go paranoid.

Hope your feeling better soon :)

I have social anxiety. Had a talk to do in college last week and it was hell! Its getting easier though, just with preparation and meditation.
