I am getting sick of work. We are constantly short-staffed, we have to do so much work in so little time, and we're always running low on stock too. I feel they keep getting on to me about everything I do and I can't seem to win.
When I try to tell the bosses how I'm feeling, they keep yelling at me to stop worrying and to stop keep on and on. So now I've just got to suffer in silence.

I've put up with it long enough now, and I want out. But I can't just leave. I'm scared of getting another job in case I get the same s**t I do here, or worse. I am so unhappy. I don't know what to do for the best.

What hours do you work? If you mostly work Monday-Friday, then it's entirely normal for you to freak out on Monday.

I can say that I feel great sympathy for your situation, please be strong (sorry I'm not religious or I'd pray for you or suggest that you pray).

2 suggestions though:
1.) When could you see your psychiatrist again? It's possible a change of medicine might do you wonders.
2.) Would it be possible for you to work nights? It might actually suit you, insofar as a lot of people won't be around then

It's OK, I'm not religious either.

I have made an appointment to see the doctor, not to change meds but to tell her how stressful I'm finding work and to see if they can offer me any support services to help me get another job, one that suits me.

I don't think what I do is avaliable at night. Although I wouldn't mind doing nights somewhere else, like stacking shelves at a supermarket. But I've tried applying for supermarket jobs and it seems impossible to even hear back. Most supermarket jobs around here only seem to hire people they already know, which isn't very good.

I have the day off tomorrow but I know I'm going to face another bad day on Wednesday, being short-staffed and my boss speaking to me in a tone that I don't like.
