My mom reads "People" magazine alot so I always see it lying around, but today i saw they had a Article about some chick named "Holly Robinson Peete" who is married to some Football star (not soccer). In the article she said she compared autism to "a bully at school" and the magazine called Aspergers "Aspergers Disorder", yeah, disorder my god damn ass! The article even links to those S.O.B.'s Autism Speaks website (which I'm waiting for some one to hack, for christ sakes the bast hackers in the world are probably Aspies!) and cureautismnow.org. I'm going to try to write to People about the article and i think that you guy's and girls should do the same.

We can't let people believe these Nazi-eque Autism Speaks jerks anymore, the word of neuro-diversity needs to be spread!

Yes, I agree.
What a load of BS.
People like that are the ones that need 'curing.'

"Aspergers Disorder" is a common phraseology for it in Brittan so that is nothing to get mad about.

I know but it's an American Publication and the term still offends me.

It's like choosing between 12 and 1 dozen.

The term that does offend me is "disease."

I’ve been thinking
all those screaming ‘for’ and ‘against’ the cure
‘for’ cannot agree to anything but drinking
‘against’ see nothing but people who’re pure
yeah this is blanket thinking
do we all fall at the speed of sinking
or are we all trying to hear our light
by not caring who we spite
as we remain ignorant of peoples’ blight
what’s good for this mute mite
ain’t nothing like those with social sight
or those who’re peaceful with their site
or those who’re afraid of respite

To each her own....

Is it? I've never really heard it being used here.
