Shelter follies.

I had two lovely things happen to me this last evwning, in the shelter.
I will write brief springboards/trailers of them, to write fullwr versions later. (I have already lost one draft of this, on rhis teeny-weeny phone.)
One, last nite at dinner - a staff member threatened trouble for me if I didn't finish & leave fast, denying me liquid and making light of my missing teeth - and saying he'd write me up .
Two, I saw another person with a bed here, a veteran, his bed paid for the night by the VA, denied a bed for that nite & told to come back too-morrow.

Sounds like a sh***y place at times but at least its a place. At least you are able to vent your problems on wrongplanet.

...Something happened to-day at the feed I went to ~ And now, my plan to at least temporarily go to Santa Cruz may be advanced a few days.
I get my (as I've explained, in rather small slices by the week) SSDI too-morrow, and Friday, and this coming Tuesday...It might be - not really enough - but SOMETHING to land in Santa Cruz.
At the feed to-day I got in trouble . I could, yeah once again, get thrown out??

I wish you could get into some sort of care home for people with chronic diseases, where you'll have freedom of movement, and you could give them half the money you get from SSDI.

What has the Hot Team said about this?

There is probably nothing like the Hot Team in Santa Cruz. It's more likely you'll be out on the street more often there.

...I was going to write more, but I have lost - again! - the connection to this, and so, if I can't recharge it, the juice will run out pretty soon tonight in the shelter. If it is gone forrever. I will have to buy ANOTHER! charger - And, the fact that the rest of my "lesser", not in my pocket, glsses have, somehow, disappeared suggest more theivery . This wouldd provide me with another excuse for leaving, but not " the reason ".
When sheets were, uneedingly, taken off of my bed last nite at least one of my shirts went with them. A " nice " one .
Basically, from what I have read, I think some help might be, now, more findable in SC.

...For another point thr address on my ID catd. Got when I lived in SC...is the adress of the hpmeless mail pick-up there,
So, it is officially my " real " address.
And, I think. I could get some help with finding a place for my " inheritance " from my Bruh to "land :/be sent to - The pictures/memoribilia and the CFs, etc. too. The woman in NY State is starting to pester me about them.

...To-day, I got my money, I decided the connection was gone, I, briefly, had to go to four stores, hurting my feet, before I could find a charge-connection for me, making it sixty dollars - at least - that I had to spend on at least three different of them in this last month
/type. I also bought that underwear and I bought a cheaper poncho for if it's rainy. I may have bought other " nessacaries ". I had two meals, I didn't go to the feed, I wanted to get things done and have more time, it was maybe 9:30 A.M when I got my money out of the ATM at 8th and Market and it was nearly 4?? when, the shopping finished, I headed for this fanci-er hamburger place for rest for my feet/eats/ a place to start.the new charger and charge the phone .

...So, I am out about 60 percent of my check in one day.
I have to go out too much to get anything done, so, along with the fact that we are put out of our bunks on our floor a couple hours a day anyway, I fon"t get enough rest and am on my wounded feet too much
I do console myself with junk/glop too much. If I could time my sleep and eating and get three guarenteed mrals a day and eat them on my own schedule, with some refrigerator/other food storage, and could stay in and rest more, and had privacy and a touch more distraction -well .
In Target, I sae a display for " College Essentials " or similar, went over and further read a packaged blanket, " Room Essential " or similar thinking about writing this here...I got myself sobbing (not eyes-crying), right there, walked away not to sob too much .

Ca is a sh***y place to be down on your luck. If you are near the coast, at least agreeable weather.
