Since we're all going to be nuked soon and die a slow horrible death, what type of suicide is the quickest, easiest and least likely to induce pain and suffering? I'm pretty sure poisoning is very unpleasant way to die, and I don't have any guns. Maybe jumping off a bridge?

A friend of mine committed suicide this year.
I'm not quite sure how he did it.
But whatever type of suicide it was, it was horrible.
He did a lot of good in his life,
and died much younger than he should have ...
what a loss to the world.
No type of suicide is best.

As for you, lostonearth35,
I hope you will feel better soon.
Do you need someone to listen?

Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren't lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.

Suicide won't ever be the right answer. I would like to advocate for you to spend a small portion of your time and watch this documentary, linked below. It tries to give visual and observable evidence for creation. If this evidence convinces you that it is the truth, I would encourage you to listen to some sermons here: www.sermonaudio.com. You can search Paul Washer, he is the best I know.

Again if this evidence convinces you, you'll understand that all life matters and there is a reason for everything even in our difficult challenges in life.

Here's the documentary:

What has you thinking you will be nuked :( ? It is a terrible thing to shorten your life at the fear that it may not be much longer anyway. I once lived in fear and helplessness of the dangers of the world, it was not a very easy way to carry my thoughts. I still have worry, but you just have to take each day that you get. Please do not end your life at the possibility of something else ending it. We all die eventually and none may know the exact moment of their own death. When someone dies young, before they’ve had a chance to really live, it is very tragic. You cannot know if you will die soon or later, so please do not make your time of death known to you. I truly hope you will one day live at peace with the unknown.

I can't imagine a suicide without pain and suffering. I'm sorry you're suffering now. We're here for you on the forum, and texting or calling a crisis line volunteer helps many people too. Are you safe now?

I'm really sorry you feel so bad. I wish there was something I could do to make you feel better but what I'm going to say will probably disappoint you, sorry about that. You see for all the people who try to commit suicide, there are many people who fail. There really isn't a guaranteed, sure fire way. Many people just end up in a worse state than prior to the attempt. Paraplegia, quadriplegia, brain damage ect. There are so many things that can go wrong.
I understand you can't see another way out but that's what depression does. It gives you tunnel vision. All it lets you see is darkness. Please try to find someone IRL to talk to. Take care and I hope you find a way to feel better soon :heart:

I've heard that no matter how sad you feel as are are about to die you will have the urge to live and part of you will try and stop whatever you are doing to die. Sometimes it's too late by then. Basic instinct kicks in I guess.

Been in that state of mine before too. It's not the right one.

If the nukes were on the way the best things to do is get drunk to the point you pass out. If the bomb(s) fails to go off over your city then you'll just wake up with a bad headache.
