It really does. Everything about it is messed up. It feels like there are no good aspects anymore. I feel depressed, alone, lonely and broken. I'm positive that I will be alone forever. I cry almost every day and can't sleep at night. But I can't seem to change things because I have no motivation. It's been like this for years now and so I don't see why things should finally get better. I'm incapable of change. I'm afraid happiness is unobtainable for me.

Maybe it's just the motivation that's the problem - is there any way someone could support you in that way? help you get going and out of the rut? Sometimes once you get going I find it's easier to keep momentum up to do things. It's starting off that's the hard part. If someone can help unstick you, that might be all you need to change things.
Convincing yourself you can't change, nothing's ever going to change, you'll never be happy, you're going to be alone forever - that kind of self-talk just reinforces it, and makes it actually more likely.
Comment if we here at WP can help you out of your rut :)

Thanks for the kind comment. My family does try to be supportive but not in ways that work. In fact, it tends to have the opposite effect. When I politely confront them about it they get all mad though. I know that the self-talk makes it worse, but I really can't help it. To me, it's the truth.

*Hugs* I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. If you don't mind me asking, what is it you want in life? Which things would bring you happiness?

Thanks for the hug ;) Well, the usual sources of happiness I guess. Feeling loved and of somewhat importance in this world. I know people say that you should "love yourself" but that doesn't stop me from feeling lonely. I still crave human connections and I don't have enough of those of quality. Never have. I'd also like to live somewhere better and do something with my life I actually enjoy, but it's neither possible right now nor can I afford it.

Where would you like to live? What would you like to do with your life?

I understand that we need other people to feel loved but even so, I still believe loving yourself is the other half of the equation.

Someone could have someone who loves them to the moon and back but if they hate themselves they'll be unable to accept that love.

So for goodness sakes love yourself so that when love finds you, you'll be ready for it :)
