The thing is he is family and I think family members should stick together but...
He is 12 years younger than me and he always has some silly problems and I'm supposed to help him. He kept asking me to lend some money, he earns more than me still not able to make ends meet. He buys stuff and when he needs to pay in cash he is in trouble. Last time he wanted to transfer money to my account and then I should have transferred the money to the guy he owes money. He said he couldn't do it as his phone number changed and when the bank asks for confirmation he couldn't reply as he doesn't have that sim card anymore. He just forgot to update his details.
But seriously? Is this really supposed to be my problem?
Am I supposed to help him?
It's not my fault that he just can't think for himself. He is a grown man, he needs to learn to handle his sh#t. (he is an NT)
One reason why I don't even want to get into his "problems" as a couple of days ago he said to someone that I never helped him.
I got him a job, I helped him out with money, I listened when he was upset and needed to vent.
What else am I supposed to? I'm not his mother and I have my own life to take care of. Also by now it's really annoying that everyone comes to me but when I am in need/if I was in need I couldn't count on anyone.
Basically I just want to shout "leave me alone!"

He sounds pretty ungrateful to me.

There are many NTs who can’t get their crap together.

Next time he asks for your help, remind him of what he told that person.

If I helped people that never helped me back it would make me want to stop helping them.

Yeah, it makes me want to stop too.
I'm just too angry at the moment as he is sulking, not talking to me. Wtf?!
I'm trying to use all my DBT skills but my thoughts keep going back to him.
Sometimes I think I should just cut ties with my whole family. We are not close to each other, not even talking with half of them, the other half is meh. Some stupid small talk twice a year. Why bother at all?
I survived without them for years. :x

To be honest, since some of your family are “meh,” I don’t believe you should totally cut ties.

In my experience, totally cutting ties has unintended effects upon all concerned.
