For the last two years and 5 months me and work have had a understanding of my hours that I can only work 6 hours with a lunch and two breaks or 5 and under and 15-20 hours a week. All my past managers have kept to this. Well they fired my last manager to downsize and the new one is pushing my hours so I went to her to try meet half way instead of 7 hours if I could do 6 1/2 well she said no , she’s having a hard time figuring out all the schedules(funny all the last ones didn’t have any issue) and that I’ll need a doctors note. So I went to talk to her and the hr lady’s going try to work it out with her but said making it an official ada accommodation would help. So now I gotta make a doctor appointment. I wish I’d just done it with the other accommodation but they just hand a understanding that with my disability. So sucks. Guess I can get my stomach checked again I’ve had this issue for almost a year now. I worry though as my doctor is conservative and so doesn’t think I should have ssdi if I working. So if he doesn’t do it I’ll have to try to find a therapist who understands disability. I get ssdi but if I make over 1,180 I’ll los it and my work is where one week they’d make me work 30 hours and another it’ll be 8 or some people have had a single shift of 5 hours for a week. I can’t lose ssdi as I won’t have enough to survive

You can look able bodied and still have physical disabilities. I think I look pretty much okay, but I have arthritis and am in constant pain. I take lots of medication for it and am able enough now to teach exercise classes to seniors, but there is no way I can work full time even at a desk job. I have a disabled parking permit and get a disabled pension. Your co-workers don’t need to know what is wrong with you. Tell them it’s personal if they ask.

I would find another job or speak to the other managers, if things were working before there is no reason for this manager to be doing this. Have you tried Voc Rehab or other employment services for aspies in your area?

Voc rehab is who barely got me those job. They were about to call it quits when I got the call. I’d considered going back to see if they could get training for another better job but I doubt they will.

I have an appointment with my doctor for Friday I just hope he’ll agree and not say well if you can work at all you shouldn’t get disability. When I tried to get my loans wiped he said since I’m working he wouldn’t fill the form out since I’m his opinion since I’m able to work I can’t be permanently disabled

If he won’t ill have to find a therapist but that takes months. So I’ll probably give two weeks. Notice then call out sick to use up my vacation and sick time.
