Hi my name ally e and lived in a house with my mom in the same nerbiohood for 31years and I recently moved in a extended living home and it stresses me out learning how to live on my own is scary some days I don't feel like I can do it but this program will teach me but some days I just want to go home but I can't

I'm sorry to hear that you are stressed. That is a big change that you are adapting to. You seem positive about learning life skills, so I hope that you are learning a lot of helpful things while you are there.

Yeah I wish I could go home too. Its good that your learning some life skills though. Real life is scary.

In my experience (which doesn't mean much lol) I find that no matter where I dwell I can get stressed. I'm 34 and currently live at home with my parents. I've lived in numerous halfway houses throughout my life and each one presented me with unique stressors. I am a very anxious person and worry about everything. I have also been in about a dozen drug and alcohol rehabs and they too had stressors. The worst place I had to live was jail and I stayed there for 1 year.....talk about stressors!

The main point that I'm trying to throw out there is that you have the strength to get through it. Don't give up hope, your situation will pass and make you a stronger person. I never thought I would end up in those places but it made me appreciate the little things.
