I think in times when we feel worthless about life being reminded that there are one or two skills we are good at can help us feel better about ourselves. Because everybody is good at something. :)

List any skill you have like cooking, repairing vehicles, using computers, first aid training, art, etc.

My one skill is that I'm a pretty good cook and know my way around a kitchen. I can cook all kinds of things like baked chicken and porkchops, cook hamburgers on a frying pan, fried chicken and porkchops, meatloaf, chicken alfredo, chicken and rice, chicken and dumplings, mac n cheese, lima beans, field peas, eggs, bacon, sausage, cinnamon toast, and I can even make a delicous baked ham using an aluminum tent and a little bit of water.

I can rhyme.
That may not be seen as the most powerful life skill but ability to improvise rhymes surprisingly improves my contact with children.

Any skill is a useful skill in my opinion and you are right about that. I bet something like that could help you work as a schoolteacher if you wanted to be one. :)

Just pick any. You don't have to list all of them.

Well, something that amazed everyone today is my knot tying ability.
I can strap down furniture skillfully enough to elicit awe, apparently.
Truckie's knots.
Very simple, really.
I can also splice, hitch, half hitch, barrel, net, square knot, crown knot, lover's knot, etc. anything that isn't tied down.

Creativity is something that I use in almost everything that I do. Often I get told "Why did I not think that?" by others when I show them what I am currently working on. This applies to my teaching concepts just as well as my research interests. I have a knack of being able to relate very complicated topics with very simple ones that can be understood by nearly everyone.

Systems Analysis -- I can break down one huge, insurmountable problem into lots of smaller, easier to overcome annoyances, and then eliminate them one-by-one.

TWIZTY... with all that stuff you cook I could come and eat at your place any day.

For myself, I play sax, flute and bass guitar and read music. I've always been able to draw and paint from an early age. I also have a great skill in beginning to write novels... but zero skill in actually finishing them.

I can meow like a cat really well...….

I'm also a fast typist (thought that's become less important owing to the advent of the Internet).

My howling abilities are absolutely off the charts!
