...You could stand by the ocean, meet a stranger there, and say to them, "Penny for your thoughts?"

And then launch into a wistful, beautiful conversation.

Somehow you end up talking to them about how hard your life was as the black sheep of the family, and they confide in you, and they tell you how Roger always was cared about more than them, and you ask them, "Who's Roger?" and they say, "The dog." And you laugh. They laugh too. You both have a moment, and look out at the sea, then at the stars.

Ha ha ha. I'm just rambling.

I’ve had a moment kind of like that.

I live about 25 miles or so to the nearest ocean from where I live and I hardly ever visit it. I wish I lived directly on it so I could see and hear it from a window. I would much rather just have a private moment with the ocean. I have never had more restful sleep than those with the ocean serenading you to sleep.

Ah, well, yes. Yes, I had.
Never tried the whole near exact thing myself in real life, but maybe someday...

What a beautiful wish! I can smell the salt breeze. Hear the shushing of the waves. A magical moment of connection there on the shore. Light and free of the quotidian entanglements. Uplifting.

Thanks for your sweet replies people and I must now reveal a secret, this wish I have is based on something that happened in an episode of Dawson's Creek, something I'm embarrassed to admit as it is an indication of how unoriginal my brain can be sometimes.

Have a magical day!
