Wrong Planet now is very different from the forum it was when I joined, and in the past couple of years has become increasingly toxic.

The overall standard has reached a low now that I no longer wish to be part of.

Goodbye and good luck. I am moving on. If it ever recovers I may return some day, though it seems unlikely.

I would especially like to thank Raleigh for enhancing WP and my overall experience of it.

I get really fed up with this place too at times.

Thank you for all the support you've given me over the years, it's been invaluable.

The saving of WP might be if we amend the rules solely in your case and give you posting rights under as many account names as your energy can extend to servicing. I won't forget you, and you will often be in my thoughts.

When I get well, I hope to visit Queensland again, my happy place, and who knows, life's conincidences and synchronicities can create surprising brief encounters with total strangers, so it pleases my soul to think this might happen, by one of these strange twists of fate, Raleigh and B19 might pause together in the street to admire a beguiling four legs that captures our passing attention, and exchange pleasantries, never knowing the deeper context of that encounter.

It makes me smile on a sad day.

Yes, I'd have to agree about the toxicity here. I'm listening to old Taylor Swift songs to take the edge off.

What's changed? What's more toxic than it used to be?

Have you nominated a successor? What if less moderation is not the solution?

I will miss you if you go B19. I think some people here communicate in a mean-spirited or aggressive way. There's no need for it. It's a shame things have become more toxic. I really hope you'll stay or not go for long.

I'm a rather sporadic member, I come and go, but you have been a constant for helpful postings, I am grateful to have been in your online presence and thank you for being a moderator on this forum and all the effort that it entails.
